RACE FOR LIFE Hertfordshire Constabulary opened its gates for the first time in order to facilitate the participants and their families during the Race for life event in Stanbourgh Lakes. During the day the Cadets from Dacorum, Hertsmere and Stevenage managed the car parks and security of the site. During their duties the Cadets also help raise £260 for the Domestic Violence Helpline through collecting donations from the public using the car park. POLICE RIDE ALONG (Cadets 16yrs and over) Cadets 16yrs and over  have been authorised to take part in the Hertfordshire Constabularies Ride along Scheme. The successful scheme has been up and running for a number of years now and has provided those interested in how the constabulary works with the opportunity to observe officers on the front line whilst on duty. Cadets 16yrs and over are now able to apply to take part in the scheme through the group and without doubt, this will give them an exciting and unique  preview of what front line policing is about.
