LORD MAYORS SHOW Cadets from Dacorum were invited to Join the Metropolitan Police Cadets to represent Hertfordshire Constabulary, in the Lord Mayors Show they took part in the 3 mile long procession though London. The cadets marched from Mansion House to the Royal Courts of Justice, where the Lord Mayortook an oath of allegiance to the sovereign before the Lord Chief Justice and the judges of the Queen’s Bench Division. The cadets shared experiences with Cadets from the Metropolitan Cadets groups and with their Patron TONY STAMP from the Bill .

RACE FOR LIFE Hertfordshire Constabulary opened its gates for the first time in order to facilitate the participants and their families during the Race for life event in Stanbourgh Lakes. During the day the Cadets from Dacorum, Hertsmere and Stevenage managed the car parks and security of the site. During their duties the Cadets also help raise £260 for the Domestic Violence Helpline through collecting donations from the public using the car park. A community based duty that was a great success.

Cadets are given Opportunity to help at Knebworth Music Festival . Herts Constabulary used Dacorum Cadets to reduce crime at SONISPHERE an annual rock festival. Cadets 16 years and over were deployed to help with the management of the camp site and the car parks.  They demonstrated great professionalism and maturity when dealing with the public and preventing crime in the specific areas they patrolled.

POLICE RIDE ALONG (Cadets 16yrs and over) Cadets 16yrs and over  have been authorised to take part in the Hertfordshire Constabularies Ride along Scheme. The successful scheme has been up and running for a number of years now and has provided those interested in how the constabulary works with the opportunity to observe officers on the front line whilst on duty. Cadets 16yrs and over are now able to apply to take part in the scheme through the group and without doubt, this will give them an exciting and unique  preview of what front line policing is about.

The Cadets will actively seek to update this web page with any up and coming events. Any future events will also be highlighted and once completed,  photographic and written testimonies will also be posted by the cadets. If there is an event you feel the cadets could be involved in, please contact us using the link provided on the Contact Page of this site.
